History
We encourage the children to develop history skills requirinig them to be deductive, perceptive and imaginative, to consider how the past influences the present. To discover the diversity of the human race and understand more about themselves as individuals.

Year 3 and 4
-Egyptians and Greeks
-The Invaders
Year 5 and 6
The Tudors with special focus on Henry VIII, Mary and Elizabeth; voyages at sea, Tudor England and the Spanish Armada
Britain since the 1930’s
Pupils make extensive use of historical resources and present their work in a variety of genres including written, oral and visual.
End of topic assessments are carried out half-termly or termly from Year 1 to Year 6.
